Got this car last week. Really love it. Forget any reviews about the car not living up to expectation, it really is good enough. The Bi-Xenons really give it an amazing if not unique look, this one is really stylish. Got mine in Reflex Silver and added the RCD510 music system that comes with 6 speakers. Although I am taking it easy with the car to give it a good run in, there is big grunt in the engine that I didn’t expect. What you gotta remember about these car critics is – that’s what they do, they criticise very good cars on the basis of other cars out performing them. To an average normal person (like myself), this is a really good buy. Also pay no attention to them saying it’s living in the shadow of the Golf GTI – total rubbish, if you wanted a Golf GTI you would probably buy one. What is refreshing is that it is only 10bhp less than the Golf, but considering the price difference between the two, definitely worth it from that aspect. Lots of heads turning from passers by and long looks in mirrors from other drivers. The car feels nicely stuck to the road, handling much better than earlier models. I am really happy with the car, but then I have always been a VW fan.

  • gorgeous advice you’ve shown in this article. It’s so

thanks for that comment, it was the cherry on the top of the cake for me! i was afraid this car was too light, losing grip in fast turns and being way too small but it’s perfect after all. thank you!

I am just trading a Subaru Impreza STi UK for a POLO GTi and I didn’t even care about comparisons as the 2 cars are completely different. What I did like about the POLO was ……..EVERYTHING. A great balance of performance V economy. I now pay £360 insurance against £800 for the Subaru and £115 Tax against £465 for the Subaru and lastly quite a bit more mpg as against 16mpg for the Subaru, do you see my point?
