The 2010 Acura MDX is one of Acura MDX Reviews favorite crossover SUVs. The Acura MDX is a midsize seven-passenger crossover SUV that has plenty to recommend, from its big, strong V-6 engine and six-speed paddle-shifted automatic transmission to its “super-handling” all-wheel drive system. The drive-train has a lightness and quickness that’s not matched in this class. The new Acura MDX available is a 7 passenger, three-row luxury crossover vehicle. It puts a strong emphasis on style, utility, and comfort, while downplaying any off-road ability. This new MDX is available (via packages) in five trim levels.

The 2010 Acura MDX has powerful, dynamic styling that is a continuation of the themes that have been embodied in recent Acura products. Designers found inspiration in a high-powered mega yacht, which features an exceptionally bold, lean and contemporary design. The 2010 Acura MDX SUV moves upmarket to better compete with the BMW X5 it already outsells and undercuts on price. There are more technology bells and whistles in the 2010 MDX such as active cruise control and a rear camera with three different views.

The 2010 MDX is powered by a 3.7-liter V-6 engine that delivers a total output of 300 hp and 270 lbs-ft of torque. Compared to the 2009 model, the new MDX has a fuel consumption of 16 mpg city and 21 mpg highway, a 1 mpg improvement. The 2010 Acura MDX also comes with improved handling, thanks to a reworked power steering system, more rigid body and a stiffer trailing arm mounting. Also included, is a totally new 6 speed automatic cog box. Adding the utility of all-wheel drive shrinks EPA numbers to 17 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway (19 mpg combined). Though not particularly inspiring, these figures make the Acura RDX the most fuel-efficient compact luxury SUV for the 2010 model year.

According to some Acura MDX reviews mentioned that the 2010 Acura MDX scores highly of safety features compared to other luxury SUV. The 2010 Acura MDX is equipped with 4-wheel disc brakes and a sophisticated 4-channel/4-sensor anti-lock braking system. The system helps improve active safety by offering a firm brake-pedal feel and a short activation stroke, as well as Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) circuitry that automatically proportions braking force between the front and rear wheels based on the vehicle’s weight distribution.
