2010 Kia Soul Review. The Soul Kia is Kia’s brand-new car-based hatchback, although it does sport a number of SUV-like styling. It is regarding the same length as the Kia Rio compact and competes with other small hatchbacks including the Scion xB. First test drives show the Soul 2010 offers a lot more than just a sporty, fun exterior its sporty driving dynamics give it a benefit over direct competitors. Kia soul is a new urban crossover car packed with chic design, liberating ideas and cavernous passenger room for active people with busy lives.
Notice the auto reviewers mentioned regarding the Kia Soul 2010.
Edmunds – With the Soul Sport’s sub-$18K sticker price, recent grads will appreciate the funky styling and impressive tech lineup (iPod, sat radio, Bluetooth). More mature shoppers will likely be swayed by the comfortable seating position and full-coverage warranty.
Truck Trend – The Soul’s style, attitude, and charm come with the economy and value Kia is known for, except for young buyers, this should be the most appealing car Kia has ever made.
Chicago Sun-Times – It is attractive to see a manufacturer that’s doing something right in such a slumping economy. And with the release of its 2010 Soul, Kia is definitely doing something right.
Automobile Magazine – What we have here is the 1st Kia that individuals will certainly buy for reasons rather than price, even though price is really attractive, too. I favored this funky little box a lot more than I estimated.
Autoblog – This Kia is less about sporty performance and more about sporty attitude. But in its class, the Soul is certainly among the most entertaining offerings. It is really got a unique look, a long list of features, a ridiculously long warranty (10 years/100,000 miles), and it is genuinely fun to grab by the scruff when equipped with a manual transmission.
New Car Test Drive – Nothing about the Soul suggests it can’t hold its own with more familiar rivals for even less cash. Considering Kia’s lengthy warranty, Soul could hit spot-on its Gen-Y target.
San Francisco Chronicle – The 2010 Kia Soul Exclaim can be a practical transportation option which is fun to drive within stylish packaging.

I’ve owned a Mercedes 380 slc . Landrover freelander, Bertone X19, Grandprix GT, Mustang, and a 300z, I like you wanted to know about the Kia Soul Plus. All the webistes I googled on my blackberry gave be the specs and pics and a few test drive reviews. I took the risk and bought the 2010 soul plus. Here is the real test drive review.
The Kia Soul is a fun car to drive, plently of room on the inside and a head turner on the outside with it’s one line curved design. I’m 6ft3 and 43 a bit old for a Kia Soul but I fit in it quite comfortable. My friend is 6′ft5 and had another 3 feet of head room. The Interior is just right with all the add ons, the Blue tooth is great, perfect car for a sales rep, because you will truly feel like your front seat is your office. The lugage space is plenty and a hidden compartment with storage slots underneath is perfect. Back seat, very comfortable. None of the reviews I read talked about the Solar Windshield….yep that means the windshield gets darker to avoid the sun glare, I was the only car in traffic that didn’t have the sun visor down. A lot of thought went into this big little car. In fact the designer got his inspiration while on a trip to Korea ( he’s american from california named mike) anyway, while in Souel Korea , he saw some bull looking aminal with a lugage in ith’s back , so he schetched the aminal he saw and designed the car from it. ( true story) I typically like fast cars and 6 cyl. but this 2.0 4 cly Soul does want it has to do and probally the best in it’s class. I’m older now and don’t need to drive as fast as my Bertone X19 would go in 5th gear. The Soul plus handles well on the road . a bit shakely at high speeds when it’s windy, but the Soul does prove to hold it’s own on the highway. Does 85 quite nice. The only real problem which is ok, it’s the road noise at high speeds,, so you’ll have to turn up the radio, or plug in your Ipod to the aux input. I reccommend the Kia Soul, don’t buy the base model, get the Soul Plus or Exclam / Sport. it’s worth it for the extra power and bigger wheels. To sum up the Kia Soul. It’s a fun car to drive and most people who see it like the design, I think it looks like a mini landrover or a big mini cooper compared to a Scion or a Cube. One last thing the windows are nice and big for a cross wind on a hot day and give a panoramic view while driving, I took the Titanium color one , The car is funky enough without the funky bright colors, white looks good also. I never thought I’d buy a Kia but I also never thought I’d by a Mercedes, I kind of think the Soul is the best looking car I had next to the X19
Thanks for the review.
James Bond has me sold! Enough to test drive it, anyway. Appreciate the adult input on this car.
This 2010 Kia Soul is a great car for anybody any age.. although at our dealership http://www.800kiacars.com, we’ve seen many younger people buy them! We’ve asked why they have, and simple stated because ” they are affordable, very roomy, and they are up to date with all the modern interiors with many different shades to choose from!”
New 2010 Kia Soul review, it comes with highly customizable features with user-friendly controls, ample of space and a good driving experience.
I have to agree w/ this 1st review. Just reluctantly traded my 6 year old BMW X3 because repair costs out of warranty were absolutely rediculous and premium gas w/ low mileage was starting to be really irritating. I did love the power, agility and superior quality, however. After much research I shocked friends and family by purchasing 2011 Kia Soul ! last week. And guess what? I’m in love! This little crossover is sublime. Chose the Titanium color which is a sophisticated mix of grey, and biege w/ a hint of green. I picked the ! over the sport because I wanted the Tan and black interior which I upgraded w/ Kia’s leather package. The interior is quite stunning and way more upscale than I expected!!!–looks particularly great w/ the Titanium exterior. More importantly however is the driving experience. This little car is quite nimble, tossable and sure footed. Doesn’t have the sheer power of my old X3 but it has more than enough power to put a smile on my face. Build quality appears excellent. It should be noted the cabin has a very big open and airy feel and a great driving position w/ commanding view of the road, oddly the view outward and seating position is almost identical to the X3–which I quite liked. The Soul actually takes bumps and road imperfections slightly better than the X3 (but then critics never liked the X3′s overly taut suspension). Took the Soul out on the highway yesterday and was thrilled w/ the ride at 75 mph—it will be fine on a long trip. I’m over 50 so I’m not the target demograhic for the Soul but so be it— srew the young—why should they have all the fun for very little money?
