Nissan Murano Review – The Nissan Murano is a near-luxury mid-size crossover SUV manufactured by Nissan since the 2003 model year. Known as the “Maxima of SUVs”, it slotted above the Pathfinder as Nissan’s top-of-the-line SUV until the launch of the Armada in 2004. The Nissan Murano is a crossover vehicle that integrates function and high fashion, combining sport-utility cargo capacity and sporty driving dynamics.
The 2010 Nissan Murano is one of the highest rated cars that they have produced. One of the first things that a person will find out about this vehicle is the odd styling. Nissan Murano Review noted that the 2010 Murano is one of the more attractive compact SUVs on the market today. The new Murano has created quite the buzz since being released and consumers are still flocking to dealers looking for this particular model.
Nissan has wisely decided to install its vaunted 3.5-liter V6 engine under the hood of the 2010 Murano. Based on the same unit that has motivated both the Nissan 350Z and the Infiniti G35, the engine offers serious thrust underneath the right foot of drivers – to the tune of 265 hp and 248 lb/ft of torque. Mated to a Xtronic CVT transmission, the 2010 Murano is available in front-wheel-drive or with an optional all-wheel-drive system. This new Murano is also very practical as it gets gas mileage of 20 miles per gallon in the city and 25 MPG on highway whether with front or all wheel drive.
Available in either Darth Vader Black or Real Estate agent beige, the leather is particularly supple (these are not Nissan approved names for their leather). But no matter how highly you spec your Murano, from S to LE, this SUV comes standard with power windows, locks, keyless go (so you don’t need a key to enter or start the vehicle), six airbags, a CVT automatic transmission, 18 inch wheels, dual zone climate control and a premium six speaker audio system. Available in the S, SL, and SE trim lines, all models come in all wheel drive.
Standard safety features for all 2010 Nissan Murano models include six airbags, active front head restraints, electronic brake-force distribution with brake assist, four-wheel anti-lock disc brake system, tire pressure monitoring system, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and traction control.
The 2010 Nisaan Murano Options included a roof rack, adjustable pedals, a Bose stereo, a sunroof and a DVD-based navigation system. Options packages have also been revised for slightly easier ordering. Options, including power liftgate, XM satellite radio, rear-view monitor, leather upholstery and heated front seats, brought the sticker price to $36,100. The base front-wheel-drive Murano S, with the same engine and transmission, starts at $28,340.
