For diesel buyers there’s a 2.-litre TDI core unit with three power outputs. There’s the 110bhp engine with two and four wheel drive-trains, the 140 bhp and 170 bhp versions with 4×4 traction as standard. The top power unit of the diesel trio is the 125 kW (170 bhp) 4 cylinder with its burly torque of 350 Nm, reached between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm. Combined consumption over 100 kms is just 6.1 litres (159 g/km CO2).
The entry level of new Skoda Yeti has air conditioning, remote central locking, driver and passenger front side and curtain airbags, CD player, 16in wheels, and front electric windows. The Yeti S and SE models get bigger wheels and extra equipment. 2010 Skoda Yeti price started from £13,990 up to £22,635. The Yeti Elegance, which begins at £17,600, is offered with a range of 5 engines such as the 2.0 TDI common-rail 170bhp 4×4. Optional features for the Yeti SE include an off-road button with the 4×4 transmission, ESP, bi-xenon headlights with cornering function, full leather upholstery, and rain-sensing windscreen wipers.
