Hyundai Sonata Reviews – The new Hyundai sonata 2011 is the amazing looking car inside and out. This car has been redesigned, with freshened styling, the latest engine, and new features. Sculpting of the body surfaces on the front fascia and along the auto’s flanks help catch the light and give the design the looks of motion. A rising crease that starts behind the front wheel and ends at the taillights presents a wedge-like look to the body with a bit less of the fall-away rear you get on the CLS. One interesting detail is the chrome strip that begins at the trailing edge of the headlights and continues across the lower edge of the hood cut-line before following the belt-line to the C-pillar. This will obviously become standard on certain trim levels of the 2011 Sonata.

This mid-size sedan is about 3 inches longer in wheelbase and 1 inch longer overall compared with the 2006-2010 model. The 2011 Sonata Hyundai comes in 3 trim levels: base GLS, Sporty SE, and Luxury-themed limited. The only engine option is a 2.4-liter Theta II GDI unit producing 198 hp in the GLS and 200 horsepower in the SE and Limited. Matched to a new 6-speed automatic transmission or the 6-speed manual, this gasoline direct injected engine returns a best-in-class 23/35 mpg city/highway fuel economy. A version of this engine also meets Partial Zero Emission Vehicle (PZEV) standards. SE versions possess a sport suspension, 18-inch wheels, and specific trim. A navigation system is optionally available on all models. Limited built with navigation consist of a rear-view digital camera. Leather upholstery with heated front and rear seats are limited-exclusive standard features.

Hyundai sonata might be a point of contention among auto reviewers. Even though very stylish and well-equipped, the design of the sonata’s cabin might not be to every-one’s liking. The interior boasts an athletic dual-cockpit design with domed dashboard pieces separated by a sloping center console. Standard interior features consist of air-conditioning, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, bluetooth connectivity, satellite radio, usb port, and steering-wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls. The v6 option is extremely common in the mid-size sedan segment, thus a number of buyers may be disappointed by Hyundai’s decision to eliminate the v6 engine option. However, hyundai will offer a turbocharged version of the sonata’s 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine which will likely offer same levels of power.

Hyundai is particularly pleased with the trio of audio systems tailored to the 2011 Sonata. GLS and SE models get an AM/FM/CD player with six speakers and XM capability, but they will offer a Dimension-branded premium system with a touch-screen navigation. Limited come standard with the Dimension audio system and a CD changer but offer a 400-watt Infinity audio system. Pricing for the 2011 Hyundai Sonata will start at just $19,195 for the base GLS model pre-loaded with a 6-speed manual transmission. Moving up to the SE model will run up a bill of $22,595, while the range-topping Limited version can be obtained from $25,295. Please give your comment about thisĀ  Hyundai Sonata reviews.
